Honey
Honey has become a major export from Earth and several colony worlds due to the demand from the tir’a. This is a 2.5 billion dollar business. The pollinators on Va’annu do not collect nectar to make a sugary food item. The WierWann have done some genetic modification to honey bees so the bees can survive on Va’annu, but beekeeping has only developed as a hobby level. Va’namir VII keeps his own hive in the royal gardens.
Variants
The tir’a prize canola honey with they use as a spread. Purple sage honey has a mild intoxicating effect on the tir’a. Which some tir’a have made into mead or added to their own alcoholic drinks. It is the most likely to be smuggled into tir’a territory.
