That they did this with ruthlessness, brutality, torture and slavery is equally unquestioned.

From the Chronicles of Sa’dish, Historian to Va’namir VII, Emperor of the Tir’a People – Conflict between the terrachians and the children of Va’annu was written in our collective consciousness millennia gone. While they grubbed and scavenged on the savanna of their homeworld, the Tir’a took prey by fang and claw and guile in the forests of Va’annu. Scavenger and predator – scoundrel and killer. These are the evolutionary paths that separate us at the very core of our beings.

Chief Constable Felisa Lauder in an interview for the documentary, “The Night of Blood – A Decade After”: A lot has changed in the last 10-years. Ore City has law now, and order — the tir’a and human miners now work the same mine shafts side-by-side. I wasn’t here when it happened, the Constables didn’t come till after the war, but there’s many here that remember and many that are shamed by what happened that night.

Sam Woodham, Mayor of Ore City, Federation Colony M-1801 (Rogue) in a statement to the Interglobal Press immediately following the “Rogue Incident” – Now, I ain’t saying’ them dark eyes out there on the plateau deserved killin’. I’m just saying after them ships slammed into the Assembly Hall back on the Home-world people round here sorta’ went a little crazy. But there weren’t the wholesale slaughter like some of you press boys has taken to claim.

Their ears were filled with blood. Once we began to weep for our own lost children, there were no reasonable voices left to be heard.

Address from Rupert Kristens, leader of the Humanist Movement and newly elected Prime Minister of the United American States to the surviving General Assembly: We must put our faith in God, for are we  not in his image? Will he not grant us the strength to secure victory over the alien hell-spawn? We must move against them today! Even as they call on their demonic gods for strength. Even as they assemble their heathen clans and gather their weapons of mass destruction against us. We must defend our homes! Our children! Our Faith! And our humanity!

From the Chronicles of Sa’dish, Historian to Va’namir VII, Emperor of the Tir’a People – So it was that darkness fell across the empire. War more brutal and bloody than any the tir’a or the terrachians had seen in a thousand years of brutal and bloody conflicts. Our people, who had forsworn technological weapons, were at first overwhelmed by the forces of the the Terrachians. Through the grace of Va’annu and the wisdom of his legacy-son Va’namir we adapted quickly. We took the fight back to the terrachian fanatics, but not before many of our brother-sons and sister-daughters were slaughtered or interred.
