The tof are known for their science. They are also known for their vulnerability to a debilitating type of schizophrenia and an autism-like disease, called Onujo. Many of the other clans shun them, with the exception of the sed and the nof. Both those clans have, over the years, found the tof useful in one wy or another. The tof occupied a large grassy plain in the center of the continent. Here they developed agriculture and domesticated the Hion’non’on (fierce warrior), a mammal-like quadruped that is used as a hunting companion and war brother. They have also developed their own minimalist martial arts, a form which focuses on economy of energy and speed. Their form can be very successful at taking down an opponent quickly.

Economics: The tof have parlayed their scientific knowledge into wealth with the help of the sed and nof. They have specifically excelled in the development and advancement of  computers technology, pharmaceuticals and weapons. Recently, the tof have also set up the Institute for the Onujo Research with the view of integrating tir’a with the disease into normal society. While the tof seem far more prone to the disease than other clans, it does strike all tir’a ethnic groups to some extent.

Clan Head: The current clan head is Ada’usa Rovus Thaya tof Avo’futh an unmarried female. As her name implies she is from Avo’futh and was called to Va’annu to become clan head. With the stigma of the their genetic defects, Usa Rovus Thaya has recruited Messu Yuv Loran sed Va’annu (female),  a diplomat, genealogist and matchmaker (known as an Idejos). And a WeirWann (see Other Races) named Savvoyio to head a long-term reserch project into eliminating or controlliing the defective gene that leads to the disease.

Legend: Shortly after the hion’non’on was domesticated, the greatest thinker of the tof, Messu Geos Shar Rathar tof Kanna was overcome by the mind sickness. He took his son Shar Wicon with him into the forest. They were followed by their faithful hion’non’on, Diom. When Messu Shar Rathar fell into the catatonic state associated with the mind sickness, Diom would look after Shar Rathar and his son. After Shar Rathar died the boy continued to live in the forest, until he passed the age when the mind sickness manifests itself. Shar Wicon walked from the forest to become a leader of the tof.
