WordPress, which is the engine for this site is a great way to go. There is really less and less difference between a site and a blog. I consider this a site, more than a blog and I build sites for people all the time using WordPress which is ostensibly a blog engine. As far as pictures go, (and remember I'm not a lawyer -- I have a soul) -- Yes you are violating their copyright if you use pictures that you haven't created, even if you use pictures you created if they are of copy-written characters. However, many sites do use images and many content owners don't mind because of the promotional value. You just have to understand that you are taking your chances if you use copy-written material without permission.

Question about making a site, actually two questions. I would like to start my own website about anime but am not sure where to start.

Should I make a blog or a site? It seems blogs are an easy to use content management system but have limitations. If I create a site with individual pages that looks like more difficult work.

Anyone create their own anime website and what system did you use?

Secondly I want to use pictures in my posts but am worried about copying issues, can I just copy or maybe point to a picture? Do the anime sites care?

thanks
